Hey everyone about a month ago I finally had an opportunity to start my own business. I've been waiting years. It's going to be a pretty straightforward niche e-commerce website. Right now I have devopled my product and am finishing up my website. Afterwards I want to go live and start shipping stuff but have no experience with this.
First, I will be shipping small jewelry sized boxes. I know with FedEx you can ship small things in one of those shipping "bag" types. I was wondering if that's the best option for me?
Secondly, how does shipping even work? Do I drop off my packages at local store or does someone come pick stuff up?
Third, I know shipping depends on where you live but if shipping varies how do you factor that into your start up cost or over price of an item? If I have to ship to someplace farther away and it's more expensive do I just take the loss?
And lastly? USPS, FedEx? Or UPS?
Thanks in advance I'm really all knew to shipping stuff business wise, so every little detail helps!
