Buying & Importing to the United States (Massachusetts) from alibaba entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hello all!

I've been purchasing low quantities of a product i'm interested in selling off of Aliexpress. After a successful quick trial run, I noticed the same ones being sold on Alibaba by the manufacturer in their stores "catalog".

On the 10-15 packages purchased from Aliexpress, I not once paid import fees. I'm assuming it's because they were smaller orders (anywhere from $5.00 - $100.00 per order).

I plan on ordering hundreds, if not thousands of a product at one time if the price per piece starts dropping significantly.

So, I guess my question is, how does the importing situation work?

I'm assuming it's not as simply as going through Aliexpress. After contacting a Manufacturer, agreeing on a price & placing an order, what's going to happen to my items? What do i need to do to make sure they get from China, to the US, Through the "import police"? I say import police because i have no idea what this is called.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
