Hello dear entrepreneurs of Reddit.

I am currently running a news website, since about one month, with the aim of making money through ads (I'm using AdSense). My traffic is quite low which results in virtually no money. The last two weeks I didn't really work on it because I had test week, but now I have eight weeks summer vacation (I'm 16).

So I'm wondering, is it a good idea to continue with this website, or will it likely never be profitable? Do you guys also have tips & tricks for me? I've currently just one traffic source, which is Reddit (I got in total about 8.5k unique visits). Any recommendations for other traffic sources?

Also, if you guys disapprove of this idea, do you guys have any other business suggestions for me, since I got 8 weeks of time. I'm currently thinking of starting an e-commerce store with Shopify or wooCommerce, with a budget of about 400 euros. This money comes from my Fiverr earnings in the beginning of this year, but I stopped with that because I didn't learn anything new from it anymore.
