So I know amazon has access to millions of consumers but the problem is that I don't know if I want to start a business for product I'm selling. I'll be selling these name brand coffee makers that everyone knows about. I'm getting them for $50 each and I'll probably be selling them for $115 before tax.
The issue I'm having is that I already have an eBay seller account but I've run into a lot of spam and fake people trying to buy product on eBay. I know amazon is way better at handling that. I also despise PayPal.
Does anyone know if I have to have a tax ID for my business or can I sell the product as an individual. When I tried signing up as an individual it asked for my business name. I don't have a company.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Relevant Facts to know. The company that I'm buying from directly offered to ship the products for free or they can send the product to me. I heard that amazon does not like it when another company does the shipping for you. They'd rather ship using their FBA or id have to personally ship it which would cut into my profits.
