Great Opportunity Presented, Need Help Pursuing entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

I have an opportunity that I would like to involve myself in. A new friend of mine has a 40,000SF warehouse (reverse logistics) with tons of products, very random like 5k sonicare toothbrushes on skids, medical equipment, skids of led light bulbs, battery banks/chargers, containers of Bluetooth speakers, camping equipment like air mattresses etc, garage heaters, electric razors and shavers, nike shoes, socks, cases of juice, the list just goes on.

He does very well for himself by selling to other retailers or he auctions them off to wholesalers but he doesn't really have an online presence. I talked to him about selling some of these items online and he's very open to the idea. He's really good at buying and is open for someone to help him with the selling

What would you suggest is the best way to go about this? My goal is to do a trial with 1 of his products that he has 5k+ of and hand him an order form to fulfil from the online sales which would prove we can duplicate the idea with the rest of his products. Although I don't want to just sell a few, I want to get rid of his inventory and sell lots quickly. What would be the best, fastest way to do this?

Do I start with a landing page for 1 product and focus on FB ads? or make a shopify store? What about Fulfilment by Amazon? Don't they charge too much for storage/shipping, etc? Also what about Ebay, does it still make sense? how do I cut through all the noise on eBay with everyone else selling similar products? is there a way to promote myself to appear in from of potential customers more frequently?

Looking for some guidance where to start as I run a local service business but always looking for opportunities to get involved with online and this looks like a good opportunity.

He has employees that filter through all the products to make sure they are in good working condition (no missing parts, etc) and they repackage them looking like new. He gets an average of 80% grade A products after going through the inventory. Thank you!
