Hi /r/Entrepreneur. Been awhile since I've rapped at you.
I lived over in South Korea for a bit and met a friend that deals with equipment. I had a dropshipping ecommerce site for some small farming items with him. This sub was critical with getting that site up so thank you!
Now he has been selling large construction equipment around the world and he wants to open the US for me to give me first go. The only problem is that I am not an expert in this area of construction.
What is a good way for me to possibly make money while not being an expert in construction? Marketing and networking seem difficult since I don't know the industry too well. Also shipping is an issue since it would be by sea and a bit of a customs headache.
I am leaning to brokering out my connection to my friend to a sales person in America or someone who knows the field. I am also just thinking of putting the equipment up online to sell and "fake it til I make it." The fact that the equipment needs to be customized make it a little different than just putting up a shopify site though.
I am sorry for the rambling post and have been trying to find a way to make money off of this but I am scratching my head.
