I'm launching a dev agency with on-shore PM/offshore dev model. I've managed individual developers and teams from different countries over the past few years. I am planning to focus on more tech heavy projects than just a simple website and I know it's not easy to build them. I've been on both client and agency side but I'm curious to know your experience to know how to keep my clients happy.

If you had to work with developers or dev shops what do you wish they did that they didn't? Did you have "I wish I could pay them more to get it right" moments? Did you ever have to fire your dev contractor and why?
