Question for FBA's on here: If I find the same niche product my competitor is selling on Alibaba entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi all,

I am looking into getting into FBA for the first time - I have done the product research and found the product I want to sell on Alibaba - only issue, it's the exact same product my competitor is selling - so I have a question:

If I buy this product to stock - will it somehow have the same bar code or similar when I go to enter it as a product on my Amazon sellers account to list it and therefore list me as an alternative seller on my competitors listing or will I be able to list it as a completely new and separate product with it's own listing, etc?

I wanna go the latter route - but I'm not sure what will happen! Appreciate any advice on this - thanks so much in advance!
