Should I change all my image file names? earn by blogging adsense income

I think I messed up! I've just completed my website on wordpress and realised all the file names aren't the least bit descriptive. I was working my way through the ALT tags but have read that filenames matter a lot too.

If this is the case, should I rename all my image files? If so, how do I do this?
