Why can it be so hard to find a niche you're passionate about? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi guys, I've been a long time lurker on this subreddit, particularly over the last year while I completed my final year of schooling.

As someone who is deeply interested in entrepreneurship, I've been looking at my options in terms of studying or taking time off to pursue a venture and gain practical experience - and I'd love to choose the latter. But I continue to run into the same issue, which is; what can I sell? What could be my USP? And no, I'm not looking for the golden answer and someone to lay out a business plan and path for me; I'm looking for someone to enlighten me on how to arrange my thoughts and think about the matter (and I feel like a lot of other people feel the same way).

I know this is a common question on this sub and the common answer is "whatever your passion is," "whatever you are interested in," and while this advice is fundamentally true to a degree, it doesn't necessarily answer the question. I feel as if I know what I am good at but I don't necessarily feel like those things are saleable or marketable.

For example, as a student I'm great at taking in information quickly, remembering it and have a passion to learn new things and achieve the best result - but how is that marketable compared to someone who is brilliant at art and designing t-shirts?

I see people say that great businesses are built upon people discovering a problem in their everyday life that matters to them, and finding a way to solve it. The issue is, I genuinely feel as if I can't find problems in my everyday life that I am passionate about and want to fix, despite spending literally hours everyday racking my brain for this issue.

So I ask, where do you think my thought process may be flawed and how do you think I could adjust my mindset or the way I see things to overcome this - as I feel I have enough basic knowledge to start a business, probably fail, and learn from it - I just don't know where to start?
