Time to 1 million organic per year earn by blogging adsense income

Has anyone worked on a single larger project, or had involvement in, awareness of or whatever, for a long enough time to see it grow from relatively small to a large traffic site? Thinking anywhere between 50 and 100k organic visits per month.

If so, how long did it take you to get to that size? I'm interested in how obviously but the tools I currently have at my disposal don't give me that kind of historical competitive data (if anyone knows of one that does that would also be great) so if anyone could let me know their industry and timeframe I'd really appreciate it.
