Need desperate help earn by blogging adsense income

Three years ago I decided to make a Football News Aggregator as a hobby, as I thought the others didn't really offer what I wanted and often contained a lot of clickbait articles and naff sources.

The purpose of an Aggregator is to collect all the relevant articles in one place, however, it has never really made a profit and is starting to loose money as it hasn't got the traffic due to poor SEO. You're the middle man in some sense, bringing traffic to the user's blog post ( Blog -> News Aggregator -> User).

The way the SEO of these aggregators work is that when a blog wants to feature on an aggregator it must display a backlink or a badge linking back to the aggregator, therefore increasing there SEO.

However, this is the issue I'm having as only a few will link back to my site and want to feature, as it is relatively small compared to other aggregators that they already feature on. One blog that features on ours said that we send the 4th most amount of traffic compared to other aggregators and that it's below 1% (a-67%, b-10%, c-3%, d-1%).

Now my original plan was quite sneaky, this was to try and drive traffic to their website from mine so that it's more than the aggregator above me, and say that they can either be on their aggregator or mine. This would mean they would have to remove the backlinks to the other one and just have mine and carry on with this method.

However, it's the driving the traffic to their sites in the first place that's the tricky part! How I've tried to solve this by setting up multiple Twitter accounts and RSS to Tweet their blog links and increase the follower on them, but even with collectively more than 100,000 real followers I've still not managed to get the 1% as mentioned above. The links have a referral at the end of the URL to make it look like the traffics coming from the website, not Twitter.

These are the Aherfs stats from each Aggregator if that helps:

A: URL Rating - 42, Domain Ranking - 61, Backlinks - 330K, Referring Domains - 392, Organic Traffic - 345K

B: URL Rating - 43, Domain Ranking - 48, Backlinks - 708K, Referring Domains - 345, Organic Traffic - 137K

C: URL Rating -26, Domain Ranking - 47, Backlinks - 1.09M, Referring Domains - 706, Organic Traffic - 6.7K

D: URL Rating -29, Domain Ranking - 47, Backlinks - 59K, Referring Domains - 64, Organic Traffic - 84

If someone could devise a plan to increase my organic traffic or even to drive traffic to these blog posts that I've tried to convince them that my site is bringing them traffic, then that would be great, I've ran out of ideas...
