The organization I work for currently owns a building down town in our city. Very very nice location and a fantastic building, I have no complaints. The only thing is we have a large unfinished basement we currently have no use for. It's unfinished (pretty ugly, but obviously could be improved) and at least 2000 square feet of unutilized space. I feel like that kind of space in that kind of location has to be worth something.
Im thinking the cheapest option is to put like $200 into it and turn it into a black box theatre that we could rent out to some local theatre companies for regular shows (ones without permenant venues of their own). But I'd LOVE to hear some creative entrepreneurial ideas. A meth lab would probably not be ideal btw.
