Ranking a keyword with competitors name in it? earn by blogging adsense income

Hello,

I've conducted some keyword research, and found a fairly low comp keyword with my competitors name in it (which is why I assume its low comp).

For instance "reddit spades" - if reddit sold garden spades.

I'm not up to speed with trademark/copyright, but I assume including my competitors name on my site would be infringing their brands copyright?

It gets a large amount of monthly searches, however I imagine it's low comp for a reason however I just want to be sure.
