Let's say there's a B list celebrity who gets searched several thousand times per month by personal brand type queries. Their exact name, by URL, is unpurchased (all TLDs).
Can I legally grow and monetize the site, other than just domain squatting, in some way?
This person is regularly mentioned in major media, but only ever by social profiles, namely their Twitter.
Couple thoughts:
- fan site
- strictly informational site
- building the personal brand and later asking for percentage of revenue
Or is all of this illegal without consent and authorization from the person first?
