Let me start by telling you a little about myself. I am a entrepreneur with a strong tech background. I can fill in as a full stack dev, app developer, database dev, sysadmin, etc. I have done embedded systems on IoT devices, Machine Learning, and hardware design/manufacturing. I also understand how to qualify product market fit in several industries and am familiar with business development/fundraising.
I would work with startups as a technical/BD consultant - essentially an interim CTO - and would also purchase an option from them structured such as: Right to buy 10% for $100,000 at a later date for a $10,000 premium (in addition to my services for free). The goal would be to use the $10,000 in a way that grows their business enough to get into a VC round or YCombinator, etc. (with my guidance on how they use it).
