Does Google care about the images on my website? earn by blogging adsense income

All of my images are compressed with suitable file names, alt tags and title tags. But do Google actually care about where my photos come from?

For example, I have a website selling pizza. If I take a photo from Google images which is the first result for "guy making pizza" and put that on my homepage, will Google care that I'm reusing popular images? Is it better to use an original photo from an SEO viewpoint or doesn't it matter?
