Is running Instagram ads a good idea? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I run a meme account. I've posted daily for the past two months, and ~1300 people have followed me, with around 20% engaging on every post.

I gain an average of 10 followers every day. I love memes, but I'm also interested in being able to monetize the account in the future.

Does anyone have any experience with using Instagram's promotion (ad) tool? Is it effective? I'm all ears.
