Private Label on $500 budget, What products would you look for, would you still use FBA? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I've been hunting around for smaller "impulse-like" products such as lip balms or hand creams. I know the margins aren't huge, but I feel like if I could supply enough places with them then it becomes a quantity over margin game.

For those of you that have private labeled, what sources have you used? Alibaba? What problems have you faced with alibaba in the past that you always double check now that you know?
