Is Google Keyword Tool acting up for anyone else? earn by blogging adsense income

Hey guys, I'm new to SEO and over this past year I've gotten a few things to rank on the top of the first page (Nothing major just some very easy long tail stuff).

Anyways, I've noticed that according to Google Keyword Tool, the results I'm getting versus the results that they said I would most likely get are totally off.

For instance I have an article I wrote that is receiving 2,000 visits a month that said it should only get 10-100...

and another that says the traffic should be 1k-10k a month but I'm the third listing on the first page and I got 7 views this month on it.......lol

Just curious if this happens to anyone else? I feel like this is not normal, and I was just looking for some insight from the Pros. TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
