So, my company is replatforming to a new shopping cart software based on my input. We're attempting to attain a 1-to-1 structural migration with a minimal amount of 301 redirects, which we think we can do (since we use a very straightforward URL structure that won't need to change).
My main concern at the moment: A lot of products have meta keywords in them, legacy of old practices done before I started working here. I'm well aware that these not particularly useful, and our new platform doesn't even have a space for them. However, if we were to remove them, will we take a hit from Google/Bing in terms of organic search? I just don't want that to be missed if that's the case, as we are submitting RFPs to developers this week, and smooth migration is key.
