Hi Redditors!
I am setting up a new brand that will operate online from the UK and I would appreciate some advise on shipping carriers.
I am currently leaning towards DHL mainly because I will use them also for importing goods of less than 200kg from overseas and also because I have always been happy as a user (when someone sends me something using DHL).
There is also another thing that I have noticed and I think it affects customer experience. When I order something from overseas I noticed that DHL sends me a mail/text when it comes to customs clearance and I can pay the fees online whereas with UPS I have to pay on delivery. Practically that means that with UPS I cannot have someone else pick the parcel on my behalf which is rather annoying and I don't want my non-UK customers to have this experience if their orders need to be cleared.
But there are also other providers like DPD, Yodel and probably even more. Any feedback would be very helpful! Thanks!
