Charge full shipping cost or incorporate some of it into the price? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey there,

So essentially my current dilemma is should I eat some of the shipping costs into my margin hoping that it will entice enough customers to make up for the margin percentage I am losing by doing so or do I show the full shipping cost to customers and allow them to make that decision on their own?

For reference, the shipping cost is 14.40NZD. I could eat up $8 of that and only make customers pay $6.4. This would mean shipping looks a lot more reasonable but I would be paying $8 more per item.

Also to put it in perspective, the shipping is overnight and will be signature tracked via a courier.

The third option would be to increase the product price and keep my margin but I would prefer to avoid this possibility.
