Freelancer - Focusing on own country instead of the US, but want US based clients. earn by blogging adsense income

So, I am a freelance UI/UX Designer, and I haven't done much SEO on my website to be honest. My website is http://ift.tt/1a2uHgd

I have decided to work on it from now on (I know its going to be a long journey), and I was just wondering if it is a good idea to rank with a keyword with my country on it, or i will just leave it.

I am based in the Philippines, but I mostly handle clients from the US. Should I focus on "web designer philippines", since its much easier to rank that way (and I have better content, better design than other ranking websites)
