I am not super educated with SEO so I would greatly appreciate some help.
I started a project off of a local blog (buffablog) and a few months later launched that into my own website as a separate entity (Sequencer). The articles that remained on the old website (buffablog) were ranked higher than the new website. Now if anyone were to search Buffalo Sequencer, buffablog website shows up..
Obviously I want this to change so my website will get the traffic and exposure.
I asked the guy who is in charge of buffablog to de-index the Sequencer posts. He deleted some (a few are still up there). I see that even one of the articles that was deleted is still being brought in the google search...When you click on the link it says Page not found.
How can I make it so the search engine won't find any of those posts? Will this just take time? Is there another step that needed to be done besides deleting the posts?
