How to generate useful ideas? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

So I'm currently a well paid salaried professional with a good chunk in savings, and a strong sense of frugality looking to make the jump into entrepreneurship.

I'm trying to figure out what my best options are for making money.

Pros:

  • I have a strong background in technology - I am a skilled software developer with experience in server setup, back-end development, front-end development, and mobile app development

  • I have a relatively strong professional network. I have people who would be willing to help me out or refer people to me professionally, no matter what I decide to do because I'm relatively reliable and hard-working.

  • I am pretty good with (human) languages or know people who are - I'd say I could be fluent in Spanish and/or Chinese by the end of the year if I put effort into it and can speak both conversationally at a decent level. I know know people that are fluent in Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese and Italian

  • I am confident and personable. I find making friends relatively easy.

  • I am frugal and good at cutting costs and operating on a limited budget. I am also willing to give up more on lifestyle (in the short run) than I think most people are in order to succeed. I have no kids or spouse to worry about, nor a LTR.

  • I respond to criticism well and I have made a very strong effort over the past 5 years to "kill my ego" so to speak. I like listening to others and don't assume I'm automatically correct just because I want to be correct.

Cons:

  • I have never really done sales work

  • I can tend to be a bit over-confident at times, especially with time estimation

  • I don't really have any rock solid ideas of what sort of product or service I can offer

What are my sorts of options here? From what I've been reading here on r/entrepreneur, mobile apps are a terrible idea. The same with dropshipping - even if I have connections in multiple countries.

What sort of business should I try to aim for that has a reasonable chance of success? Freelance development is always an option, but I fear it isn't scaleable. I don't mind offering a service at first to bootstrap income, but in the long run I think I'd rather aim at a service - maybe something SAAS. I feel that the developing world is really the future way to make a lot of money so I'm leaning towards something there, but I'm not sure what. App translation/localization?

I have the drive and motivation, but I'm not really sure what isn't saturated that I could reasonably compete in. Technical staffing from developing nations?

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Or links to sources for how to correctly target myself (or the process I would use to correctly target myself, given the variables I gave above) would be fantastically helpful.
