My writing style of ranting turns into this petty copywriting style when I'm just trying to tell a real story. I study a whole lot of sales funnels trying to copy what my clients' competitors are doing, but hopefully, this next bit doesn't make you cringe.
Tried to tell a story about an awkward networking event where I took notes instead of listened to the "paid" panel of corporate speakers, and it felt like I was going to sell someone the notes as a 997$ product at the end of my rant. I posted this story to my affiliate marketing Discord community and it looks just like a long-form sales letter when I was done.
Yeah, I'm shook, its a habit. That's what studying this kind of sales delivery every day does to you.
I mean our Discord is free to use, and its a 'gamer' version of a 'Skype' that I kind of adopted. (I don't work for Discord, I just game a whole lot and used this to attract geeks to for me to mentor). This feels like a bad idea. I'm probably deleting the rant as what happened to me at that event will probably never REALLY happen.
