Mobile payment systems - Europe. Experiences with iZettle and co.? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

My sports team is organizing a big event in June and we always sell our own merchandise there. The past few years, people have increasingly been asking for a possibility to pay with EC cards (maestro and v pay basically) so we've been looking into providing that.

Now what I've found up to now are lots of very unflexible renting models. They mostly have you rent a system for 100€ for an entire month and then pay a few cents per transaction.

Since we only really need it for one weekend I looked around and I found few of these Fintechs. Basically they sell you a cheap card reader, connect that to your phone and have people get the receipts via e-mail.

Sounds pretty good to me, but with most of these companies being start ups and whatnot, I was wondering if anyone could offer some experiences as to support, reliability, ease of use, etc.

Specifically looking at iZettle and SumUp at the moment.
