Hey guys so Im a personal trainer & nutritionist and also an avid adventurist I guess you could say (snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, all things outdoors) and I've created an idea to mesh nutrition on-the-go without having to eat garbage. Basically think along the lines of food bars, trail mix, dry oatmeal mixes, possibly jerky in the future etc without all the garbage that usually is associated with them (sugars, unhealthy carbohydrate sources such as high fructose corn syrup or flours, and with limited preservatives.
I have been sitting on this idea for awhile and finally the actual products are coming to fruition on the drawing board and I'd like to take the next step. I plan to begin selling within my community locally but I'm just wondering what the steps to take this to manufacturing and online sales are? I have almost zero funding outside my own personal savings and have no way to obtain anything else at this stage in the business. What are my options? I ultimately plan to have an online store and sell items on a per order basis.
Another company myoatmeal.com provides a similar service to get an idea of what I want to do but they seek to deal exclusively with oatmeal.
