So, it is that time of year again: tax time. I'm in my 7th year as a sole practitioner, and 2016 was my best year ever. That is the good news. Now that bad: I just got my taxes from my accountant and, even though I pay estimates quarterly, because I did so well, I have to write the government a check for $34k before April 15th! Plus my quarterly payments have now doubled to $11k a quarter!
Problem is, last year was probably a fluke. Now I have to deal with cash flow issues due to having such a good year last year.
ah, it is always something!
