Third party SEO evaluation high, but still not showing on Google? earn by blogging adsense income

Hi All. First off this sub has been really helpful so thanks to everyone here.

I built a website for my business with squarespace and I have to say it's looking quite good. I'm pretty sure I've ticked most of the main boxes. Image names. Headings. Meta tags. My business. Social media. etc. I have been using Nibbler to evaluate my SEO and I've got the score up to 7.7. Now here's the frustrating part, my competitors are still getting first page organic on Google and I'm nowhere to be found. They all have pretty crap websites to be honest. Around the 6 mark on Nibbler. None have a social media presence. Shitty wordpress builds etc.

Why are they beating the crap out of me with organic searches? It's been 2 weeks and I've been recrawled twice. The only thing I can think of is popularity. Being on first page would mean they are probably getting 20 or 30 organic hits per day. If popularity is the only factor... how can I overtake them? It's a chicken egg situation.

Wasn't sure if I should mention my URL here or not.

But any insight would be great. I'm totally stumped.

I'm really hoping someone will say it's just a matter of time. It makes sense to me there would be some inertia to keyword rankings.
