Does starting a business set you back in your career? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hi all!

I’m 24 years old and working in a Stockbroker. I feel I’m good at my job and there are opportunities to advance at least for another 3-5 years.

However, I’m very passionate about starting my own business and have been looking into quite a few small business ideas. I give what spare time I have to researching this, but my job is quite busy so I will mostly eventually need to leave my job and give a business a proper go with all of my time.

If I was to fail, how difficult is it to jump back into your career? Do employers view this quite poorly? Have any of you experienced this or can you direct me to some information on this? I know it will set me back, but I don’t want to look for a good job in a couple of years if my business didn’t work out and be very limited in what jobs I can get because of it!
