I'm a solo SEO here, so far my clients came from people where I met from conference and referral from friends. I've tried cold email long ago, but NEVER got a sales. That was 2~3 years ago, I can guess I was pretty bad at sales that time, but I wanted to try cold email again, hope you are willing to give me some advice.
So I just wanted to ask a quick question, if you're to send a cold email, do you send a short one like:
Hello Dan, When I was browsing across X, I found your website on #12 on the search results. I've got a vision how I could help you to rank on the first 3 results like I did for {some other company}. If 10 minutes isn't too much to ask, maybe we can jump on a quick call to discuss about this? Best Regards, John
Or should a longer cold email with value provided such as SEO audit, competitor analysis, technical analysis, etc.
Intuitively I think the first one will get less response, but the question is how much less than the longer email, is it worth taking extra work into providing value while you can send another 10 shorter email to another 10 prospect?
What's your opinion on this?
