preference for platforms earn by blogging adsense income

I'm unsure as to what platform I should utilize, and was hoping some developers could give me their input on platform preferences.

1. When a client asks you to optimize an already existing website, do you have a go-to platform, or do you just use the one the website is already created on?
2. How difficult is WixCode to use? For the more advanced developers, what are some of its best perks that other platforms do not provide? In other words, why use WixCode?
3. Does Squarespace have a product similar to WixCode? If so, how does it compare?
4. How much benefit will WixCode provide to a beginner website creator such as myself?
