I run a multi-location dermatology practice, and our practices currently live on the web at mandeldermatology.com. I am relaunching our online store that sells our skin care product line (which we also sell in office) and I am trying to decide whether or not to (a) have the online store at its own domain "shopmandeldermatology.com" or as a subdomain "shop.mandeldermatology.com". The brand "Mandel Dermatology" is both the brand of our practices AND our skin care products. I keep hearing arguments on both sides, but I really want to do what is best for SEO. Any thoughts on the unique domain vs subdomain route?
