Hi friends of the internet. I have a question for any characters on this subreddit that make a living from AdSense. I just want some perspective on my situation really:
I have a site that's about 5 months old. I spent time writing about 30 well optimized informative original articles with target keywords amounting to around 3 million monthly searches (max). My sitemap is 111 pages due to a bunch of shorter posts that are only meant for better UX, not optimization - Google has agreed and only indexed the main articles.
Anyway, my traffic is a hilarious 10 users a day still and I feel like it's taking much longer than I've seen others report their sites digging into the SERPs. My domain authority is a lowly 8. I have followed links from other sites that don't seem to be getting picked up.
I started a news section today to basically churn out a bunch more pages to try to add some padding to the meat of my site....and hopefully get Google to treat me with a little more respect.
Does this all sound normal to you? Is my padding effort a good one (I will continue to write pillar articles when I see things pick up)? Do you prefer crunchy cheetos or puffy ones? My site is here - for reference. Please let me know your thoughts on my content strategy, quality, and expectations/projections :)
