Client blog is essentially reposted articles in entirety from other sources earn by blogging adsense income

Looking for some advice as I have never encountered this issue before.

I have a client site whose entire blogroll is copy + pasted (entire!) articles from other outside sources (e.g. LA Times, NYTimes, etc. articles written about the business). I'm talking about ~150 posts dating back to 2012. Nothing appears to be original. Yes, the articles are cited & linked. No, they have not been hit with any penalties.

I know what content advice to give them moving forward. What I am wondering though, is if these posts should be scrapped completely since they provide little to no value OR if I should alter the structure of the site. For instance, should suggest they change '/blog' to '/press' (and noindex) so they can create an actual blog with original content?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!
