I've got a decision to make entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey there /r/entrepreneur! :)

I've got a tough one. In the past I was doing several projects. My final dream is to work on my own. Currently I'm employed as a graphic designer / web designer.

The last weeks/months I tried to channel my ideas and I'm pretty stuck. I must choose which way to go, because otherwise I'm lost and cannot fully concentrate on this. Realisticly I want something that CAN take me closer to my dream of working alone.

So, I'm a pretty (good) graphic and web designer. As this is my job, the most logic way for me is to make my own business as a graphic designer. But here comes the problem: As I'm employed as a graphic designer, I cannot have local clients, as I'm taking away work from my boss. So, the biggest problem is not the work to be made (I'm 8 years into this business), but its how to find clients. I do pretty cool landing pages. Can I simply make a faboulous web page, that I'm a web/graphic designer and seek clients? Do you think anybody will give me a job this way? Cold calling is illegal in my country.

My other idea: I assume you all know something like themeforest. I wanted to start my own business and selling anything for photoshop. Brushes, mock ups etc. I can make these resources by myself and in high quality. But as this is a passive income, I don't know if anybody ever buys something. And I got to make the resources first. This will take some weeks. And I really think many people just go for the free ones.

I know if you are super passionate and with high energy, you can reach pretty much. But its also mixed with a bit of luck.

My third idea is to advance my app from paid (20$ week earnings), to free with ads. (100 downloads a day if free). But my calculations are telling my I will be making cents only through google ads.

I'm also making music, but to rely to be famous someday with your own music the dumbest idea ever. (Its my hobby)

I'm pretty disoriented which way to go. 1.) Should I invest time to make a homepage which I refer that *I make graphic design, flyers, logos, webpages, apps etc. *and try to spread the word 2.) Should I invest time to make a homepage which I refer that *I make landing pages *and try to spread the word (I've read that you should concentrate on only one niche, thats why) 3.) Should I make a resource style page, which people pay for high definition brushes, mock up psd's etc.? 4.) Do you think I even make money if my app has ads when the user base is ~100 downloads a day?

It's very hard if you got the skills for web, apps, graphic design etc. but I'm more "the background guy" doing the hard work. But you can't choose which way to go.

I hope you can point me in the right direction. I'm pretty concerned because I'm thinking its super hard to get customers. But it can work, otherways there weren't so many design agencies on around everywhere.
