Hello r/entrepreneur!

I [25M] have just received an offer that will allow me to be a full-time independent financial analyst. I have been working with my client part-time for 8ish months now and we have established a good relationship. As the work piled up I told them that I couldn't dedicate the proper amount of time needed to their work while holding a full-time position as a financial systems assessor for the state government. They asked me to draw out what I would require to have the ability to work as a contractor on a full-time basis. After waiting several days for their response, they called me and accepted my terms.

I am beyond happy that my vision of working independently is starting to come to life. It's just a little daunting transitioning from a cushy government job that I have been at for a year and one half to working 100% on my own.

I should say that I have two other side businesses that make a little bit of discretionary income and my wife works full-time. So if anything were to happen, we wouldn't be on the streets.

Just excited/nervous is all.

I'll definitely be scouting for side-contracts as I get going though. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
