I (solo) would like to start my first online business having put some thought into it. I’ve found a niche that I am both interested in and knowledgeable about. I would like to start a website where I curate, promote and sell clothing from independent/niche/boutique/local brands. I would feature their products on my site, facilitate purchases, forward the orders and have the fulfillment done by them. I plan on starting small and local.

Can this/should this be done on a Shopify, Square Space Etc or do I need a marketplace host like Sharetribe?

What software would I use to capture and forward order information and keep tabs on varying stock and return information (being that it would be going back to the brand manufacturer and not me)?

Products range from $25 - $120 how do I gauge what commission I take, especially considering I am not dealing with fulfillment?

How do I set up legal/formal agreements with the brands I sell?

Lastly, as a noob, am I biting off more than I could chew? Is yes, please suggest and alternative method/model or point out glaring issues. Thanks in advance.
