Trying my best to get this worked out properly..
An eCommerce client I am working with has product pages (SKUs) that are similar in fashion to:
- MP-016
- MP-016-UP4228
- MP-016-UP4228-UP4444
So in other words, he is selling the 'MP-016' by itself as one product page, but also offering bundle deals with other SKUs.. 'MP-016" and "UP4228" in another.
My assumption is that unless the product page descriptions/custom content can be radically different from each other, that it is best practice to stick to a "One Product Page for Every SKU".
Is this assumption correct, and is it best practice to remove the product pages with the duplicate skus in them.
Meaning, one product page only and for
- MP-016
- UP4228 (if sold by itself)
- UP4444 (if sold by itself)
And then on each of these product pages, have a section to where they can manually choose to bundle, and offering a discount if the two products are in the same checkout cart.
Just wanted some other opinions on how I could deal with this.
