How to convince my father to hand down his window cleaning franchise? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

A couple of years ago my father bought a franchise license of an established window cleaning company. What this means, in practise, is that we bought the right to buy the cleaner chemical solution from that company. Yes, just the right to buy. I know, sounds crazy, but that company supplies around 90% of the industrial grade solution in my country so they hold monopoly

The company doesn't give a shit about what we'd do. We can pretty much open a shop under The company's name (which entails routine monitoring and control from The Company but it aint much fuss) or set up our own shop that is entirely independent except we still buy the cleanser solution from The company. Fee and Money wise, those two options are identical. There are no extra charges or whatever if we choose either option.

Thing is, my father is an exceptionally lazy man who has been molded for decades to bear the employee mindset. He has no drive whatsoever to be an entrepreneur. He has zero sense of entrepreneurship. To this day, he doesn't build on the franchise at all because, to quote him literally It brings little revenue. Yes of course it does, but only in the first months. After that it would generate monthly revenue tenfold of his old salary before retitiring.

I've tried convincing him to let me run his franchise with much frustration and to no avail. He still refuses to build the franchise or even let me build it for him despite the fact that he will still be the majority owner of the company on paper, we split the shares 60-40, He would literally gets free money doing nothing while I build his franchise. I am financially lenient and have several bussinesses of my own. The only reason I do this, legal wise, is because I want my old man to have a source of income that is legally registered under his name. also because this business has huge potential

Such a waste! what should I do to convince my seemingly irrational father?
