Need to recruit (affiliate) partners for an Amazon Seller chrome extension. Looking for input. entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I created a Chrome extension for Amazon Sellers called AVA.

In short, it does all kinds of process automation and solves some pain points that many sellers experience. I recently released a free tier, called AVA Lite, to the Web Store (no key or cc needed) and posted it in the FBA sub... people loved it. (judging by the up votes)

It's all been very encouraging.

AVA is extremely stable, international, and well liked so far. If there's one shortfall I could name (okay, two), it's that there's no video yet and the differences between the Lite version and Basic+ isn't totally clear cut in some of the sales flow. (feel free to agree or disagree here, links below) Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with how it's coming together.

I believe it's more than ready for affiliate promotion.

I reached out to ~10 niche content creators weeks ago. I personalized each message, told a little of my story, let them know what problems it solves, and offered a free Premium Trial which also came with promo materials pre-written. I even built in some dynamic funnels from the free to the paid version so affiliates could simply promote the free install. (I've only told 1 potential partner about this as it's a brand new feature, but I plan to promote this going forward.)

My results so far on this front haven't been encouraging.

I understand 10 isn't very many, but before I go ruining my chances with a larger group...

What would you do or have you done differently/better to recruit partners for this type of product/service? (meaning digital with a business focus)

For posterity, the payments are handled through Gumroad, so I'm using their affiliate system. That said, I'm not opposed to totally switching platforms if it results in more interested partners by default.

^ Anecdotes appreciated here.

Okay, that sums it up. Just need to get out of my head on this one for a bit, so hit me with it.

Thanks, Michael
