Before I get shot down in flames, I know that eCommerce is probably a bit saturated on here. I'm not talking about "How do I start a t-shirt drop shipping business?" or any of that broken record.
However, I have unique experience in that I'm a bit of a generalist and worked in small businesses and rebuilt a few of their websites, as well as running marketing and photography, shipping etc for them at the same time. Juggling everything has exposed me to a lot of the boring stuff that gets ignored by sexier articles.
Some topics I was going to cover:
- Which CMS should I use?
- Calculating margins
- What is amazon FBA / should you use it
- What emails do you need to automate
- Tips for shipping cost effectively
- Working with agencies /developers
- Site migrations and SEO considerations
I'm tempted to write a blog post that walks you through, quite briefly, each aspect of eCommerce (without trying to sell anything) but have a feeling it's already been done a thousand times.
TL;DR - Is a walkthrough to eCommerce something that people would find useful or would it be another bit of noise?
