My girlfriend wants to sell snacks online. What are some things to know and keep track of when starting a food business? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

Hey everyone,

So my girlfriend's great grandmother left her family with all of her recipes. There's four baking recipes that she loved as a kid growing and continues to make and improves on as an adult.

She's been making them for her coworkers every year now for three years. This year word got out and people from other floors of the company showed up to get some of these snacks. In fact her boss's boss paid her to make some for a to a executive meeting, it was a success there too.

I suggested she should try to create a business on Shopify or Sqaurespace. Or at least take orders on Facebook. She's given in some thought and after watching quite a bit of shark tank food pitches, she really wants to try.

Outside of making sure she's cooking in a commercial kitchen, I have no idea what's supposed to be done for selling food.

Do you go somewhere for the nutritional information? How or Who decides whats a serving size?

Is there a good guide we can start with?
