Thinking about building this goal planner / journaling app. Yay or nay? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

The app is called "Crest" and it's a combo between a journal and a goal planner. The one thing it does is help you break down a "big hairy goal" into smaller steps (goal=>milestones=>projects). You start your day with a check-in with your goal, and then pick Most Important Tasks for the day. At the end of the day you review your progress and fill out itemized questions, like "What are you thankful for?" or "What was your biggest win of the day?" At the end of the week you do a more overview-like review.

The app's USP is to achieve your goals faster, without losing momentum, while staying on track, while tracking your progress (vanity). I've used a similar (on paper) system to track my goals, and I've found that moving from goal to today to review (and back) helps to keep me motivated and on track.

At the end of this post I've included the app's landing page. What I'm doing right now is validating the app idea with a Facebook ad, and that's what I need your help for.

Based on what you see on the landing page: - Do you understand what the app is about? Does it match my description above? - How would you use this app? - Is there anything I've missed? Any big landing page mistakes? Any thoughts like "Dude, you've got it all wrong!"

I've been working on this app idea for about 3 weeks now, mostly built the mockups. The landing page is made with WordPress and Theme X, mockups with Sketch, based on an InVision app design template.

The 1 week plan is to validate the idea with a FB ad, i.e. send traffic and measure beta signups. The 1 month plan is to build and publish the MVP. The MVP consists of the 3 screens you see on the landing page, i.e. "Goals", "Today" and "Review". The 3 month plan is to get some traction with App Store Optimization, reviews and PR. At the same time I want to build the web app, because that's part of the monetization strategy (freemium with IAP for sync, as per "Bear app for iOS").
