I have a CPA I meet with once a year to prep my taxes, but lately feel that I'm constantly reacting to my previous year's missteps. He does a great job of helping me fix issues, but the slow feedback loop of 1 year has me wasting valuable resources.
I think I could seriously benefit from a more proactive accountant that offered advice and audits on a regular basis. Maybe not monthly, but certainly quarterly. It's a home-based business without the volume to warrant an actual employee, so something closer to a retainer would be ideal.
Does anyone know of any popular web-based services that offer something similar? Or am I better off looking locally?
