Hiring Freelancers: Are Upwork Tests Truly Reflective Of Skill? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

I am in need of hiring a freelance developer, but I am consistently dispointed with the results I get. I have high standards, and a very valuable website. I've tried expensive developers, low cost developers, amazing reviews, and everything in between. Over the last few years I've probably tried working with 30+ developers on Freelancer and found 2 that are awesome. However both of them are currently 3-4 weeks out on work, and they prefer to do larger projects, so small fixes have to wait.

Now I have found the upwork tests that tells what percentile (i.e. top 10%) they did. Are these tests reflective of their skill and quality?
