How can I test the market interest for a particular product without purchasing stock? entrepreneur how earn by blogging blog

There is no specific product as I am looking for a bootstrap approach to testing many ecommerce possibilities over time.

My first thought would be to create a website for the product range then display all products as out of stock with a basic form that allows the lead to express interest, capturing name, email and a pre-selected product code based on the page they're on.

Then run an adwords campaign to see what stirs.

Is this an efficient method or an I missing an obvious cheaper option that doesn't require so much effort?
